Maurice A. Berard, MD, 82, of Nichols St., Fall River, husband of Madeleine (Rivard) Berard, died Thursday, February 26, 2009. In practice in Fall River for 30 years, he was a graduate of Assumption College, Worcester and Université de Nancy, France and also studied medicine in New York and Boston. He was a member of L'Association francophone. Besides his wife of 52 years, he leaves 2 sons, Michael C. Berard and his wife Lynne of No. Dartmouth and Marc S. Berard of Fall River. He was the father of the late Robert Berard and the son of the late Albert and Florence Berard. His funeral will be held Saturday afternoon at 12:30 PM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in Holy Name Church at 1:00 PM. Cremation to follow. Visitation, Saturday prior to the funeral from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM.
