Maurice P. "Moe" Blanchette

Maurice P. "Moe" Blanchette, 84, of Fall River, passed away Saturday, November 11, 2017.

A graduate of UMass Amhurst, he taught in Quebec, Canada and Fall River. A Navy veteran of the Korean War, he then served in the Merchant Marine.

He leaves siblings, Girard Blanchette of Brockton, Lucienne Mulvihill and her husband James of Illinois and Lucien Blanchette and his wife Simone of Westport; nieces and nephews, Eileen Fontaine, John Mulvihill, Marc Mulvihill, Michelle King-Mulvihill, Eric Blanchette and Ann Karl. He was the son of the late John and Elmire (Fontaine) Blanchette and the brother of the late Jean Roger Blanchette (wife late Florence).

His funeral service and burial at Massachusetts National Cemetery were private.
