Maureen "Moe" Phipps, 74, passed away surrounded by her children, Sunday, November 9, 2008.
An Air Force veteran, she was a waitress at China Royal for many years until their closing and then worked at King Philip Lunch until her illness forced her to retire in June.
She is survived by 4 children, George Phipps, Jr. and Todd Phipps, both of Fall River, Dawn (Phipps) Hassin and her husband Rick of East Freetown and Heidi Phipps-Oliveira and her husband Paul of Somerset; 10 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren; her devoted sister, Joan F. Doyle (late Charles Doyle, Sr.) of Swansea, 1 niece and 2 nephews.
A celebration of Maureen's life will be held Sunday from 12:00 to 3:00 PM, with a service at 2:00 PM, in the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River. LARGE PARKING AREA and BARRIER-FREE ENTRANCE at the rear of funeral home. Burial at Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne will be private.
