Mary Rose (Farias) Faria

Mary Rose (Farias) Faria, 83, formerly of Rolling Green Dr., Fall River and Westport, passed away on Thursday, December 28, 2023.

She was the loving wife of the late Joseph S. Faria, whom she dearly missed. Mary was a sewing machine operator employed by Fall River Shirt Company in her earlier years.

Mary loved spending time with family and taking many pictures.  She enjoyed talking on the phone with friends and loved ones.  Her newest hobbies were playing Bingo and listening to entertainment at South Pointe Rehab where she lived for the past few years. One of her most favorite pastimes was coloring and playing cards with her great granddaughter, Aurora, who she loved dearly. Visits with her great grandson Jaylin from Florida were greatly cherished.

She is survived by her daughter, Teresa C. Vieira; two granddaughters, Sharon and Angela Vieira; two great grandchildren, Aurora Thomas and Jaylin Pina Vieira; her sisters, Anna Medeiros, and Veronica Moore; several nieces and a nephew.

Mary was the daughter of the late Fernande and Anna (Rebello) Farias, and was the sister of the late Theresa Gauthier.

A visitation will be held Wednesday, January 3, 2023, at the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 South Main St. Fall River, from  8:00 A.M. to 9:30 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial, at St. Mary's Cathedral, Spring St. at 10:00 A.M. She will be buried at Saint Patrick’s Cemetery, Fall River.

She frequently made donations to feed the hungry children.
