Mary L. "Mamie" Paiva

Mary L. "Mamie" (Donovan) Paiva, 86, of Liberty St., Fall River, wife of Alfred "Fred" Paiva, died Sunday, July 4, 2010. She was employed by the former Stop & Shop Supermarket, Bedford St., and was a Fall River School Dept. lunch lady. She enjoyed crocheting. Besides her husband of 68 years, she leaves, 2 daughters, Elizabeth "Peaches" Fournier and her husband Maurice of Swansea and Carole Silva and her husband Antone of Fall River; grandchildren, Maurice Fournier, Jr., Susan Aguiar (husband Daniel), Pamela Almeida (husband Evan), Matthew Fournier and Nicole Silva; great-grandchildren, Katelyn and Connor Almeida and Abigail and Olivia Aguiar; a sister, Elizabeth "Betty" Chouinard and her husband Roger of Somerset and nieces and nephews. She was the daughter of the late Jeremiah and Louise (Podesky) Donovan and the sister of the late Margaret Botelho and William, Jeremiah, Walter and Frank Donovan. Her funeral will be held Wednesday at 9:00 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in St. Mary Cathedral at 10:00 AM. Burial, St. Patrick Cemetery. Visitation, Tuesday 4:00 to 8:00 PM. LARGE PARKING AREA and BARRIER-FREE ENTRANCE at the rear of funeral home. Please omit flowers.
