Mary (Cordeiro) Newberry

Mary (Cordeiro) Newberry, 102, of Fall River, passed away on Wednesday, January 20, 2021.

She was the wife of the late Francis Newberry and the daughter of the late Joseph and Victoria (Correia) Cordeiro.

She was employed by Amtrak and Globe Laundry and enjoyed watching professional wrestling and going to Foxwoods.  Mary was crowned "Queen" at the Fall River Jewish Home where she resided.

She leaves a daughter, Mary Jane Dias Gillett (late husband Henry Gillett); four grandchildren, Patricia Durand (husband Gerald), Arlene Cabral (late husband Daniel), Brenda Almeida (husband John) and Arthur Dias, Jr.; numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, great-great-great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. She had many siblings.
