Mary (Ferreira) Machado

Mary (Ferreira) Machado, 84, of 495 New Boston Rd., Fall River, formerly of O'Brien Apartments, 34 Whipple St., died Wednesday, July 5, 2006 at Kimwell Nursing Home. She was the wife of the late Frank Machado. Born in Fall River, the daughter of the late Francisco and Maria (Rapoza) Ferreira, she lived in Fall River most of her life. A member of St. Mary Cathedral Parish and musician, she played the piano and sang in the Tiverton Senior Center Choir. Survivors include a son, Richard F. Machado of Fall River; a sister, Olivia Martin of Swansea; 3 grandchildren, Richard F. Machado, Jr., Elizabeth Machado and Lisa Machado and nieces and nephews. She was the grandmother of the late Mary Ellen Machado and sister of the late Rose Moniz, Joseph Ferreira, Mary Mello and John Ferreira. Her funeral will be held Friday at 9:00 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in St. Mary Cathedral at 10:00 AM. Burial, St. Patrick Cemetery. Visitation, Thursday 5:00 to 8:00 PM. LARGE PARKING AREA and barrier-free entrance to the rear of funeral home.
