Mary Gamson

Mary A. (Francz) Gamson, 85, of No. Main St., Fall River, formerly of Cottage St. and East Main St., died Saturday, August 20, 2005 at Sarah S. Brayton Nursing Care Center. She was the wife of the late Nelson J. Gamson. A lifelong resident of Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Katherine (Ryba) Francz. A member of the former International Ladies Garment Workers Union, now UNITE, she was employed by Bedford Manufacturing for many years. Survivors include a son, Russell E. Gamson and his wife Dianne of Fall River; a brother, Joseph Francz of Brooklyn, Ohio; 4 grandchildren, Keith Melanson, Jessica Jones, Heather Rua and Wendy Gamson; 6 great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Beverly Melanson and Frederick Gamson; the grandmother of the late Aaron Gamson and the sister of the late Anthony, John and Frank Francz. Her funeral will be held Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in St. Anne Church at 10:00. Burial, Oak Grove Cemetery.
