Mary (Borges) Galego

Mary (Borges) Galego, 77, of Fall River, wife of Francisco Galego, passed away January 31, 2017. Born in Furnas, St. Michael, Azores, she was the daughter of the late James and Angelina (Santos) Borges.

Survivors also include two sons, Edmund Galego and his wife Natalie of Fall River and Dr. Paul Galego and his wife Tracey of Somerset; three siblings, Angelina Galego of Fall River, Manuel Borges of Assonet and James Borges of New York; three grandchildren, Joshua, Justin and Chloe Galego; five great-grandchildren, Ciera Toste, Ethan Galego, Alaysia and Skyla Arruda and Dillin Galego.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral mass Friday at 9:00 AM at Santo Christo Church. Honoring Mary's request, there will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Kindred Hospice, 275 Martine St. Fall River MA 02723.
