Mary E. (Howes) Chmura

Mary E. (Howes) Chmura, 80, of Fall River, widow of John P. Chmura, died Saturday, May 31, 2014. She enjoyed traveling and visiting Casinos near and far and cherished spending time with her family. She leaves 2 children, Linda Ferland of Fall River and Peter J. Chmura and his fiancée Diane Couto, of Tiverton; grandchildren, Rachel Salmond and her husband Matthew of Assonet and Paul J. Ferland of Fall River; great-grandchildren, Maggie and Julia Salmond; a brother, Harry W. Howes; a nephew, Harry Howes and a dear friend John Abenante. She was the daughter of the late Everett and Stella (Zabik) Howes. Visitation and flowers omitted. Donations may be made to Forever Paws, 300 Lynwood St., Fall River MA 02721. Her funeral was private.
