Mary (Ferreira) Bartkowiak, 80, of 111 Borden St., Fall River, formerly of Mulberry St., died Thursday, November 20, 2008.
A 30 year resident of Framingham, she returned to Fall River in 1977, worked in the garment industry and was a member of the Borden Place East Tenant Council.
She leaves 4 children, Norman Bartkowiak of East Douglas, MA, Richard Bartkowiak of Fall River and Tiverton, Paul Bartkowiak (Nadine) of Fall River and Linda Reed (Steve) of Texas; grandchildren, Nicole, Brandon, Christine, Eric and Alex Bartkowiak, Amber-Dawn Denton and Angela Faught; great-grandchildren, siblings, Lillian Freitas and Irene Cabral, both of Fall River, Lorraine Mello of Tiverton and Hilda Souza of MS and nieces and nephews.
She was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Mello) Ferreira and the sister of the late Elsie Botelho and John Ferreira.
A funeral service will be held Saturday evening at 7:00 PM in the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River.
