Marita F. (Vokes) Harnett

Marita F. (Vokes) Harnett, 95, of Fall River, wife of the late Thomas E. Harnett, passed away Friday, June 23, 2017.

She leaves a daughter, Christine Harnett of Fall River; grandchildren, Keith Robert Harnett and Kerri Harnett and great-grandchildren, Devin Harnett and Bri-Ann Harnett. She was the mother of the late Robert William Harnett and Katherine Mary Harnett; the daughter of the late Reginald Arthur and Alma M. (La Traverse) Vokes and the sister of the late Reginald Arthur Vokes, II and Alice Vokes.

She was a devoted member of the former St. William Parish for over 50 years. She served on the local school's National Congress of Parents and Teachers, as Assistant Girl Scout Leader, Collector for Catholic Charities and as an Officer and Treasurer of the former Mount St. Mary Academy Mother McAuley Guild and friend of the alumna. She was employed by Firestone Rubber Co., White's Restaurant and Edgar's Department Store.

Her funeral will be held Wednesday at 9:15 AM from the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass at the Chapel of Catholic Memorial Home at 10:30 AM. Interment, Oak Grove Cemetery.

Visitation, Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Large parking area & barrier-free entrance at the rear of funeral home.
