Marie Ange (Auclair) Brodeur, 99, of Tiverton, formerly of Westport and Fall River, widow of Armand H. Brodeur, died Monday, August 18, 2008.
A graduate of B.M.C. Durfee High School, class of 1927 and a real estate broker, she operated Brodeur Real Estate and Westport Tourist Home for many years. She and her late husband also operated Brodeur's Men's Shop and were breeders of exceptional Collies.
She was a former member of the Fall River Board of Realtors and MLS and the Watuppa Grange and a member of Friends of Saint Anne's Hospital, Franco-American Civic League and the Ladies of St. Anne Sodality of Notre Dame Parish.
She leaves nieces and nephews including Paulette (Auclair) Barselou and her husband Daniel, Elizabeth (Auclair) Cookson and her husband Richard and Charles Auclair, all of Fall River and Attorney Robert Auclair and his wife Francine of Media, PA.; and a sister-in-law, Sister Irene Brodeur, OP of Dighton.
She was the daughter of the late Charles Auclair and Elise (Bernier) Auclair Donais; the sister of the late Blanche Tremblay and Armand, Raymond and Albert Auclair and the sister-in-law of the late Alice Auclair, Romeo Tremblay, Alice Brodeur, Lillian Beauregard, Rev. Roland Brodeur, Aldea Canuel and Raymond Brodeur.
Her funeral will be held Thursday at 9:00 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River with a funeral mass in St. Theresa Church, Stafford Rd., Tiverton, at 10:00 AM. Entombment, Notre Dame Cemetery Mausoleum.
Visitation, Wednesday 6:00 to 8:00 PM. LARGE PARKING AREA and BARRIER-FREE ENTRANCE at the rear of funeral home.
