Maria "Piedade" (Medeiros) Morais

Maria "Piedade" (Medeiros) Morais, 86, of Fall River, wife of Gilberto Costa Morais, died Thursday, January 27, 2011. Born in Ponta Garça, Vila Franca do Campo, Sé�o Miguel, Azores, she lived in Fall River for the past 42 years and was employed by Fashion Sportswear. She adored her family and loved nature. Besides her loving husband of 66 years, she leaves 5 children, Madalena Monis, Daniel Morais Costa, Fernanda Moniz and Marie Kirkman, all of Fall River, and Norbert Costa Morais of Westport; 15 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; a sister, Conceicao Barboza of Dighton; and many nieces and nephews. She was the daughter of the late Norberto and Maria (Ferreira) Medeiros and the sister of the late Manuel Medeiros, Cecelia Furtado, Irondina Andrade, Inorina Vieira and Jose Medeiros. Her funeral will be held Monday at 8:00 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in Santo Christo Church at 9:00 AM. Entombment, Notre Dame Cemetery Mausoleum. Visitation, Sunday 3:00 to 7:00 PM. LARGE PARKING AREA and BARRIER-FREE ENTRANCE at the rear of funeral home.
