Maria Lurdes (Costa Tavares) Melo, 63, of Fall River, wife of the late Jorge Melo, entered into rest Saturday, February 20, 2016. She worked in the garment industry. She leaves three sons, Nelson Melo and his wife Jodi-Ann of Somerset, Arnaldo Melo and his wife Liliana and Luis Melo, all of Fall River; grandchildren, Brady, Abbey, Samuel and Gabriel Melo and a brother, Virgilio Tavares of Fall River. Born in é�gua de Pau, Lagoa, Sé�o Miguel, Açores, she was the daughter of the late Antonio Borges Tavares and Evangelina (Costa Remedios) Tavares and the sister of the late Gregorio Tavares. Her funeral will be held Wednesday at 8:00 a.m. from the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass at Santo Christo Church at 9:00 a.m. Interment, Notre Dame Cemetery. Visitation, Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Large parking area & barrier-free entrance at the rear of funeral home. Please omit flowers.
