Maria Lourdes (Pacheco) Gouveia

Maria Lourdes (Pacheco) Gouveia, 71, of Highland Ave., Fall River, formerly of Kellogg St., died Saturday, April 21, 2007 at Highlander Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. She was the wife of the late Joao Gouveia. Born in St. Michael, Azores, the daughter of the late Manuel and Maria (Correia) Melo, she lived in Fall River for the past 40 years. She was employed by the Darwood Manufacturing for many years. Survivors include 6 daughters, Natalie Gouveia, Goreti Aguiar, Annabela Sullivan, and Avelina Pacheco, all of Fall River, Filomena Sherratt of Bloomington, Minnesota and Dora Resendes of Litchfield, Connecticut; 4 sons, Eddy Gouveia of Westport, MA and David Gouveia, Jose Gouveia and Mario Gouveia, all of Fall River; a sister, Conceicao Faria of Toronto, Canada; 3 brothers, Joao Melo of Canada and Antonio and Manuel Melo, both of Fall River; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Virgilio Pacheco. Her funeral will be held Tuesday at 9:00 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in Good Shepherd Church at 10:00 AM. Burial, Notre Dame Cemetery. Visitation, Monday 5:00 to 8:00 PM. LARGE PARKING AREA and barrier-free entrance at the rear of funeral home.
