Maria Francisca Goncalves

Maria Francisca (Vieira) Goncalves, 82, of Fall River, wife of the late Nicolau P. Goncalves, passed away Monday, October 2, 2017. Born in Furnas, St. Michael, Azores, she was the daughter of the late Manuel and Maria Cristina (Vieira) Furtado. A garment worker, she was a member of I.L.G.W.U. She was a parishioner of Good Shepherd Church, South Main St. Fall River.
She enjoyed cooking, crocheting and spending time with her grandchildren.
She leaves two sons, Nicolau V. Goncalves (wife Helene) of Fall River and Paul G. Gonsalves (wife Sandra S.) of Bolton, MA; four grandchildren, Keith C. Goncalves, Audria Goncalves, Jenna Gonsalves and Kristyn Gonsalves. She was the sister of the late Maria Zenaida Andrade and Laura Machado.
Her funeral will be held Friday at 9:00 from Auclair Funeral Home, 690 South Main St. Fall River, MA with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in Good Shepherd Church, South Main St. Burial, Notre Dame Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.
