Maria (Branco) Cordeiro, 64, of 75 Kellogg St., Fall River, died Saturday, September 21, 2013. Born in Fenais da Luz, St. Michael, Azores, she was the wife of 42 years of Jose C. Cordeiro, a native of Feteiras do Sul, St. Michael Azores. She was employed by Beacon Garment Co. and was the Santo Christo Parish Rectory housekeeper and cook for many years. She was the beloved mother of Ann E. Fonseca (Alex Pesantez) and Emily Cordeiro (late husband Miguel) all of Fall River and Sandra Mollinedo (Richard) of Randolph, MA; the beloved grandmother of William Wrightington, Eddie and Alethea Fonseca, Brittney Cordeiro and Madison and Isabella Mollinedo; the sister of Joana Cordeiro and Joao Branco, both of Fall River and Leo Branco of New Bedford; the sister-in-law Cremilde Amaral of the Azores; the sister-in-law and best friend Louisa Cabral of Toronto, Canada; the godmother of Lucy Lemos and Gabriel Cordeiro, both of Fall River and also leaves many nieces and nephews. She was the daughter of the late Antonio and Maria Nascimento (Bandarra) Branco and the sister of the late Antonio, Jose, Mariano, Honorato and Manuel Branco, Maria Sousa and Rosa Travassos. Her funeral will be held Wednesday at 10:00 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass at Santo Christo Church at 11:00 AM. Burial, St. Patrick Cemetery. Visitation, Tuesday 4:00 to 8:00 PM. LARGE PARKING AREA and BARRIER-FREE ENTRANCE at the rear of funeral home.
