Marguerite Plamondon

Marguerite "Maggie" (Cloutier) Plamondon, 58, of Westport, died Wednesday, June 14, 2006 at Saint Anne Hospital. Born and raised in Fall River, the daughter of the late Albert F. and Joan L. (Patenaude) Cloutier, she was a longtime resident of Westport. She was as a teacher for 32 years of Science and Physical Education at Somerset South Middle School, retiring in 2003. She received her teaching degree from Bridgewater State College and received a master's degree in computer education from Lesley College, Boston. She was a member of RI Multiple Myeloma Support Group, Massachusetts Teacher's Retirement, Westport Citizens' Betterment Committee, Westport Woman's Club, Red Hat Society. Before her retirement, she belonged to AAHPERD- American Alliance for Health, PE and Recreation and Dance, MTA, NEA and STA. Maggie's favorite loves included family and friends, traveling in Europe, Cancun, Mexico and the United States, coordinating 8th grade trips to Washington, DC from 1993 to 2002, and teaching. She is survived by a daughter, Lauri A. LaFrance of Westport, a son, David Plamondon of Millbury and his fiancé, Sarah Buttery; 3 sisters, Claire Kirkpatrick of Herndon, Virginia, Diane St. Laurent of Westport and Colette Thorne of Midlothian, Virginia, a granddaughter, Monique Marguerite LaFrance of Westport, a dear companion, Joseph C. Favela of Cumberland, RI, and nieces and nephews. Her funeral will be held Saturday at 9:15 AM from AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 S. Main St. Fall River, with a funeral mass in St. Anne Church, S. Main St. at 10 AM. Burial in Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport. Visitation Friday from 4 to 8 PM.
