Marguerite V. (Desrochers) Paquette

Marguerite V. (Desrochers) Paquette, age 90, of Autumn Glen Assistant Living located at 239 Cross Roads in North Dartmouth MA and formerly of Fall River, MA died on Saturday, November 12, 2016. She was the wife of the late Daniel D. Paquette.
She was the daughter of the late Albert and Antoinette (Lemay) Desrochers, one of ten children which included five brothers and four sisters. The late Pete Desrochers, Benoit Desrochers, Gerard Desrochers, Roger Desrochers, and Leo Desrochers of Tiverton, RI . Four sisters, the late Lucille Ouellette, Theresa Gagne, Germaine Domingue, and Rita Michaud of New Hampshire.
As a young girl Marguerite loved playing the violin and was part of the 1947 Fall River "Drill Team". She always treasured the long lasting friendships she made with all her team members. As a member of Blessed Sacrament Parish in Fall River, she volunteered to work many of the fundraisers and other church related functions. It was during one of those events that she met her husband-to-be Daniel D. Paquette. They were married on August 2, 1952. In her younger years she worked in the office of Minneapolis-Honeywell, located on Bay Street in Fall River and then later employed by Cherry & Webb Co. a clothing store located in downtown Fall River for many years until her retirement in 1988. Along with her husband Dan they enjoyed bowling in the Somerset Seniors Bowling League and spent their winters in Florida. They had the pleasure of spending 62 years together as husband and wife. Marguerite leaves three children, Daniel L. Paquette (Eva and her son Jeremy) of Tiverton, RI, Suzanne C. Ellinwood (Cal) of Assonet, David E. Paquette of Fall River, a granddaughter Kori Lynn (Ellinwood) Medeiros (Derek) and many nieces and nephews. The last ten years of her life she was a resident at Autumn Glen in Dartmouth along with her husband where they had many wonderful friends. A very special thanks to all of the nursing staff, aides and workers who made them part of Autumn Glen's special family. Maggie had a strong faith and her last wishes were to be back in her husband's arms and reunited with her Ma, Pa and all her siblings in heaven. Her funeral will be held Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. from the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass at St. Theresa Church, Tiverton at 12:00 noon. Burial will be private. Visitation, Wednesday morning prior to the funeral from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Please omit flowers.
