Margaret L. (Harrington) Kolakowski

Margaret Louise Kolakowski (nee Harrington), 96, of Swansea , MA, passed away on May 31, 2024, in Fall River, MA. She was the wife of the late Henry Kolakowski.

Margaret began her career as a florist working in a flower shop after school in her teens and eventually owned and operated her own flower shop, Evergreen Gardens in Attleboro, for several years.

An avid reader Margaret was rarely found without a book in her hands. She  also found great pleasure in completing New York Times crossword puzzles daily, keeping her mind sharp and entertained throughout her life.

Margaret's warmth and humor touched all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by her daughters Elaine Seskevich, Diane Kolakowski, her niece Kate Haworth (Seskevich), her niece Marisha Dubiel, and all those whose lives she enriched with her kindness.

A private burial is planned at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Swansea Public Library Memorial Gift Fund, 1113 GAR Highway, Swansea, MA 02777, in Margaret’s honor to reflect her love of reading and learning.
