Margaret L. (Robitaille) Harrop

Margaret L. (Robitaille) Harrop, 66, of Seekonk, formerly of Fall River, passed away at Rhode Island Hospital on Friday, August 4, 2023.

She was the wife of Richard Harrop with whom she spent 49 years with and 35 years happily married.

Now retired, Margaret was employed as a lunch lady at B.M.C. Durfee High School in Fall River.  She was a friendly lady who would strike up a conversation with anyone she came across and made friends wherever she would go.

Her family called her by several nicknames which included “Maggie”, “Ma”, and  “Grama”.

She loved to cook for her family.  Margaret could often be found outside, enjoying gardening, yardwork, and painting rocks.  She also enjoyed rides in the car, TV shows, reading and visiting the casino.

Besides her husband, she leaves her daughter Traci Bouchard (husband Gregory);

two grandchildren, Zackari Richard Harrop and Monica Lynn Bouchard; a beloved cat named Baby and many nieces and nephews.

Margaret was the sister of three siblings and was the daughter of the late Albert and Mary (Souza) Robitaille.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 8, from 6:00 P.M. to 8 P.M. at the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 South Main St. Fall River.  Barrier-free entrance from parking lot.
