Margaret J. "Maggie" (Lourenco) Chretien

Margaret J. "Maggie" (Lourenco) Chretien, RN, 59, of Little Compton, wife of Capt. Bertrand A. "Bert" Chretien, LCPD, Ret., died Monday, July 15, 2013. A graduate of BMC Durfee High School and Union Hospital School of Nursing, she worked for the former Union Hospital, Charlton Memorial Hospital and in the Southcoast Health System and Hospital Group for the past 39 years. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and beading. Besides her husband of 38 years, she leaves siblings, Joseph M. Lourenco of Hedgesville, WV and Mary F. Gorman and her husband John of Staunton, VA and nieces and nephews. She was the daughter of the late Jose and Emma (Costa) Lourenco. Her funeral will be held Friday at 8:30 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass at St. Catherine of Siena Church, Little Compton at 10:00 AM. Burial, Our Lady of Fatima Cemetery, Little Compton. Visitation, Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. LARGE PARKING AREA and BARRIER-FREE ENTRANCE at the rear of funeral home.
