Margaret "Marge" (Cogorno) Borges, 73, of State Ave., Tiverton, RI, formerly of Pennsylvania and Newport, RI, went to join the love of her life, her late husband, Anthony "Tony" Borges, Thursday, January 13, 2011. A Navy veteran of the Korean War, graduate of Roger Williams University, and a cosmetologist, she owned and operated The Orange Curl, Crandall Rd., Tiverton and was office manager of Borges Construction, which she operated with her late husband. She sang at weddings and church services. Marge was a prolific poker player at Foxwoods Casino, and enjoyed dancing, "Jeopardy", PJ's Pub, and crossword puzzles. She was the mother of Attorney Rene G. Brown and Desi Dopart, both of Tiverton, Bette-Anne Patkus (husband Steve) of Wisconsin, and Janice Borges Roy of Berkley, MA; the grandmother of Robert Brown, Richard Monis, Shayna and Jackelyn Carmichael, Brianne Dopart, and "Bo", "Kiki", "Ouzo", and "Bella"; the sister of Mona, Dona, and Barbara, all of PA, and the late Mary Jane; the aunt of Johnny Neith (wife Donna) of Las Vegas, NV; and the former wife of the late Peter Brown. A celebration of her life will be held Saturday, January 15, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM, at her late residence in Tiverton. Please omit flowers.
