Marcelino B. Melo

Marcelino B. Melo, 74, of Fall River, former husband of the late Maria (Pacheco) Melo, entered into rest Friday, April 8, 2016. He was a former employee of Narragansett Improvement Co. and Rhode Island Country Club. He enjoyed fishing, watching soccer and was a member of the Liberal Club. He leaves two daughters, Rose Mello-Sousa and her husband Roy of Tiverton and Olga Rovoredo of Fall River; grandchildren, Jadyn Sousa, Carly Sousa, Monica Raposo (Nuno), Melanie Correia (George Souza) and Anthony Quigley; great-grandchildren, Alexia, Ethan, Kaleb and Levi Raposo and Aaliyah, Ava and Adam Souza; siblings, Elvida "Iberia" Couto of Fall River, Alvarin deMelo of Somerset, Nicolina "Nicky" Michaels of Tiverton, Joseph Rebello of Maryland and Armand Rebello of Fall River and many nieces and nephews. He was the son of the late Carlos and Rosa (Borges) Rebello and the brother of the late Dinis DeMelo and Alexandrina "Sandy" Desrosiers. The family would like to thank the incredible professionals at Kimwell Nursing Home for the extraordinary care they provided. His funeral will be held Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. from the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass at Good Shepherd Church at 11:00 a.m. Interment, Notre Dame Cemetery. Visitation, Monday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Large parking area & barrier-free entrance at the rear of funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.
