Marcel M. Nadeau, 72, of Tiverton, husband of Pauline J. (Lavoie) Nadeau, died Monday, November 16, 2009, following a courageous, two year battle with Creutzfeldt-Jacob Disease. A member of BMC Durfee High School, Class of 1955, he served in the Navy, graduated from Bradford Durfee Institute of Technology, earned a Master's Degree in Physics from Northeastern University and was employed by the Naval Underwater Weapons Research and Engineering Station, Middletown, RI for 35 years. Besides his wife of 41 years, he leaves two children, Andrea Leroux and her husband Robert of Barre, MA and Philip Nadeau and his wife Dawn of New York, NY; four grandchildren, Max and Madison Leroux and Julia and Abigail Nadeau and an aunt Lucille Laliberte of Fall River. He was the son of the late Joseph and Annette (Laliberte) Nadeau and the brother of the late Roger and Gerald Nadeau. His funeral will be held Saturday at 9:00 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in St. Christopher Church, Main Rd., Tiverton, at 10:00 AM. Burial, Notre Dame Cemetery. Visitation, Saturday morning prior to the funeral from 8:00 to 9:00 AM. LARGE PARKING AREA and BARRIER-FREE ENTRANCE at the rear of funeral home. Please omit flowers.
