Marcel F. Cantin

Marcel F. Cantin, 79, of Hayden Ave., Tiverton, RI, formerly of Fall River, husband of Rose Marie (Roy) Cantin and husband of the late Rita M. (Lacasse) Cantin, died Monday, February 25, 2008. An Army veteran of WW II, he was a US Postal Service Letter Carrier for 35 years. President of the South End Athletic Club, he enjoyed golfing, bowling and playing cards and was a member of Disabled American Veterans and the National Assn. of Letter carriers. Besides his wife of 19 years, he leaves, 2 daughters, Denise Lapointe and her husband Richard of Somerset and Leona Cook and her husband Ronald of Fall River; siblings, Normand J.B. Cantin of Framingham, MA, Aime Cantin and Annette DeNardo, both of Fall River, Anita Limoncelli of Marlborough, CT, Florence Fournier of Westport, MA, Louis Cantin of Tiverton and Andre Cantin of Swansea, MA and nieces and nephews. He was the son of the late Laurent and Eva (Gagnon) Cantin and the brother of the late Reginald, Lionel "Pete" and Raymond Cantin. His funeral will be held Thursday at 8:00 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in Holy Rosary Church, Fall River at 9:00 AM. Burial, Notre Dame Cemetery. Visitation, Wednesday 4:00 to 8:00 PM. LARGE PARKING AREA & BARRIER-FREE ENTRANCE at the rear of funeral home.
