Manuel P. Melo

Manuel P. Melo, 82, of Rodman St., Fall River, husband of Maria B. (Benevides) Melo, died Sunday, September 15, 2013. He enjoyed gardening and was employed by Narragansett Improvement Co., Providence. Besides his wife of 54 years, he leaves 3 sons, Henry Melo and his wife Ana of Fall River, Horace Melo and his wife Terry of Norton and Michael Melo and his wife Sandy of Fall River; grandchildren, Nicholas, Terrell, Rebecca, Valentine and Horace Melo, Jr.; a sister, Evangelina Melo Pacheco of Fall River and nieces and nephews. Born in Teatro Novo, Capelas, St. Michael, Azores, he was the son of the late Joao and Margarida (de Paiva) Melo and the brother of the late Maria dos Anjos Paiva Medeiros and Jose Paiva Melo. His funeral will be held Wednesday at 9:00 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass at Holy Trinity Church at 10:00 AM. Burial, Notre Dame Cemetery. Visitation, Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. LARGE PARKING AREA and BARRIER-FREE ENTRANCE at the rear of funeral home.
