Manuel F. Mendonca, Jr., 67, of New Bedford, formerly of Fall River, Tiverton and Swansea, husband of the late Lucille (Begin) Mendonca and son of Mildred (Bolton) Mendonca of Fall River and the late Manuel F. Mendonca, died Wednesday, October 31, 2007. A retired pipefitter and member of Local 788, he had served in the Marine Corps. He was the father of Scott Mendonca of Swansea, Manuel F. Mendonca, III (wife Denise) of Tiverton, and Dawn Proctor (husband Tracy) of Lisbon, Maine; the grandfather of Ryan, Kourtni and Jeremy Proctor and Zachary and Andrew Mendonca; the brother of Patricia Purcell of Florida and the late Eileen Rogers and the companion of Mary Lou of Somerset.
