Manuel V. Manica

Manuel V. Manica, 87, formerly of Mitchell Drive and Rockland St., Fall River, husband of the late Elena "Helen" (Almeida) Manica and dear friend of the late Nancy Frechette, died Wednesday, September 5, 2012. A Navy veteran of WW II, he served proudly aboard the aircraft carrier, USS Essex. Member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Tiverton, he was employed by Haskon Aerospace, Taunton, for many years. He leaves a son, Manuel A. Manica of Fall River and his fiancée Danielle Medeiros of Attleboro; siblings, Leona Cabral of Somerset and Edward Manica of Silverdale, WA; nieces and a nephew. He was the son of the late Manuel and Mary (Costa Franco) Manica. His funeral was private. Burial was in Oak Grove Cemetery. Donations to Beacon Hospice, 182 No. Main St., Fall River MA 02720 appreciated.
