Manuel S. "Sonny" Coelho, 75, of Robert St. Westport, died Saturday, April 21, 2007 at home.
He was the husband of Virginia (Dostou) Coelho.
Born in Fall River, the son of the late Manuel S. and Virginia (Rego) Coelho, he resided in Fall River most of his life.
He had been employed by Salvo Machinery and was a member of the Fall River Rod and Gun Club.
He was an army veteran, serving during the Korean War.
Besides his wife of 54 years, his survivors include 2 daughters, Debra Newton and her husband William of Somerset, Donna Doige and her husband Alan of Westport, 3 sisters, Ann Fleetwood of Florida, Meryl Whitfield and Estelle Darlington, both of Pennsylvania, 3 grandchildren, Melissa and Tyler Newton and Heather O'Neil, 5 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Following cremation, a memorial mass will be held Wednesday at 10 AM in St. Anne Church, S. Main St. Fall River. Please omit flowers.
