UPDATED DUE TO SNOW STORM... Manuel F. Amaral, 69, of Palmer St., Fall River, husband of Maria de Lurdes (Ferreira Medeiros) Amaral, died Sunday, January 19, 2014. Besides his wife of 49 years, he leaves 8 children, Jose Amaral, Helder Amaral and his wife Neves and Cesar Amaral and his wife Alcina, all of Fall River, Messias Amaral and his wife Suzie of Westport, Carlos Amaral and his wife Patty of New Bedford and Manuel Amaral and his wife Helen, Oriana Mello and her husband Davide and Cristina Alexandre and her husband Cristovao, all of St. Michael, Azores; 18 grandchildren; siblings, Oriana Tavares, Olga Amaral and Rui Amaral, all of Fall River and Helena Gal and Sanzinha Amaral, both of Portugal and nieces and nephews. Born in Fenais da Ajuda, St. Michael, Azores, he was the son of the late Manuel and Olga Maria (Galvao) Amaral and the brother of the late Jose Alves Amaral. His funeral will be held THURSDAY at 8:00 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass at Espirito Santo Church at 9:00 AM. Burial, Notre Dame Cemetery. Visitation, TUESDAY 4:00 to 8:00 PM. LARGE PARKING AREA and BARRIER-FREE ENTRANCE at the rear of funeral home.
