Madeline (Costa) Mello

Madeline (Costa) Mello, 86, of Lake Ave., Fall River, formerly of Hancock St., died Sunday, May 28, 2006 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of the late Angelo Mello. A lifelong resident of Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Alice (Botelho) Costa. A retired presser in the garment industry, she enjoyed camping and hosted Monday evening prayer meetings. Survivors include a daughter, Judith Senechal and her husband Robert of Somerset; a son, Timothy Mello and his wife Maria of North Dartmouth; 2 brothers, Alfred Costa and his wife Louise of Somerset and Louis Costa of Fall River; 3 sisters, Evelyn Frazer and her husband Cy, Dorothy Faria and her husband Teddy and Natalie Silva and her husband Jil, all of Fall River; 6 grandchildren, Lisa Wilbur, Lynne Senecal, Robert Senechal, Jr., Marisa Mello, Timothy Mello, II and Justin Mello; 3 great-granddaughters, Dominique and Caitlyn Senecal and Erica Wilbur. She was the sister of the late Alice Medeiros and Manuel, Edward "Barry", Joseph, John, David and Bento Costa. Her funeral will be held Wednesday at 9:00 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in St. Theresa Church, Tiverton at 10:00 AM. Burial, Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours Tuesday 5:00 to 9:00 PM.
