Madeleine M. (Levesque) Lopes

Madeleine M. (Levesque) Lopes, 77, of Swansea, MA, passed away Saturday, May 4, 2024, in Naples, Florida, which was her favorite place to be, spending the last 15 years as snowbirds there with her husband, John F. Lopes.

Born in Fall River, MA, Madeleine was the daughter of the late Louis J. and Loretta J. (Labouliere) Levesque. Madeleine attended Dominican Academy class of 1965 and enjoyed meeting with her classmates regularly for lunch. For 40 years,  Madeleine was employed by PSI Inc. as a medical transcriptionist, she also trained many of her employees to become skilled transcriptionists as their manager in both Rhode Island and Massachusetts. She really enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoyed playing home games, watching jeopardy, bocce ball, bowling, boating, cooking, crossword puzzles, and reading. She loved games that challenged her both mentally and physically.

Besides her husband of 44 years, Madeleine is survived by her children, Kerry Girard (husband David) and Mark Lopes (wife Lori); grandchildren, Jake Girard and Noah Girard; siblings, Laurent Levesque (wife Paulette) and was the sister of the late Suzanne Medeiros.

Her visitation will be held Saturday, June 8, 2024, from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M., at the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 South Main St, Fall River, MA.
