Madeleine "Maggie" (Labonte) Isherwood

Madeleine (Labonte) Isherwood, 80, of Fall River, widow of John "Jack" Isherwood, passed away Sunday, June 4, 2017 at Tufts Medical Center, Boston.

Born in Fall River, Maggie, as she was affectionately called by family and friends, was the daughter of the late Romeo and Albina (Canuel) Labonte and the sister of the late Rene Labonte of Ohio.

She leaves a son, James J. Tavares and his wife Donna Marie Lauzon-Tavares of Fall River; siblings, Doris Gregoire of Ohio and Paul Labonte of Swansea and several nieces and nephews.

Maggie was known for her generosity and love of cooking. She had many friends, one of which is Florence Tooley who was a lifelong friend. She worked at Lamport, United Merchants and Trifari. She also worked part time as a cook at St. Louis Rectory, Fall River and St. Joseph Rectory in Attleboro. Maggie's kindness and the sound of her laughter will be missed by all.

Her funeral will be held Thursday at 9:00 AM from the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass at Good Shepherd Church at 10:00 AM. Interment, Notre Dame Cemetery.

Visitation, Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Large parking area & barrier-free entrance at the rear of funeral home. Donations may be made to Forever Paws, 300 Lynwood St., Fall River MA 02721.
