Lucy R. (Silva) Medeiros

Lucy R. (Silva) Medeiros, 89, of Gifford Rd., Westport, widow of Joseph V. Medeiros, died Saturday, May 1, 2010. A native of Westport, her life was dedicated to the family farm in her younger days and then her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She leaves 8 children, David Medeiros and his wife Ann of AZ, Robert Medeiros, Joseph Medeiros, and Thomas Medeiros and his wife Melissa, all of Fall River, Ronald Medeiros and his wife Charlotte and Lucy Cory and her husband Michael, all of Westport, Michael Medeiros of SC, and Anthony Medeiros of East Hampton, MA; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; a sister, Albertina Perreira of NJ; and nieces and nephews. She was the daughter of the late Antone and Anne Silva and the sister of the late John and Joseph Silva. Her funeral will be held Wednesday at 9:30 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in St. John the Baptist Church, Westport at 11:00 AM. Burial, Beech Grove Cemetery. Visitation, Tuesday 5:00 to 9:00 PM.
