It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Lucio B. Serpa, or Lucky to his friends, who left us peacefully on February 12, 2025, at the age of 75. He was the beloved husband of Judite (Almeida) Serpa of 52 years and a friend who touched the lives of everyone he met.

Born in St. Michael, Azores, Lucky grew up with a strong sense of family, community, and kindness. He retired from IneoQuest Technologies. Lucky served in the Vietnam War as a Specialist 4th Class in the US Army. He was proud of his service in the Army and was recognized in Washington, DC as a Portuguese American Vietnam Veteran.

He received several commendations, medals and decorations including National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with 2 Stars, Vietnam Campaign Service Medal with 60 Device, Air Medal, Army Commendation Medal and Bronze Star Medal with Valor Device. He was known for his warm smile, bright blue eyes and his generous spirit. Lucky had a heart that welcomed everyone, and his love for his family and friends was unwavering.

Throughout his life, Lucky was involved in many things that brought him joy. This included his love of tennis and serving as the treasurer of the Ateneu Tennis Club in Dartmouth, MA. He found joy in tennis, golf, attending Red Sox home games and spending time with his family and numerous friends. His legacy will live on through the countless lives he touched.

He is survived by the love of his life, Judite, niece Nancy Estrella, great niece Michaela Estrella and great nephew Dylan Estrella. He was beloved by his extended family, including his sister-in-law Maria Almeida, brother-in-law Horacio Almeida and many godchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents (Berino and Mariana Serpa). His love, wisdom, and humor will forever be cherished and remembered by all who knew him.

Calling hours will be held at the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 South Main St. Fall River on Monday February 17, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

His funeral will take place Tuesday, February 18 at 9:00 AM from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial to be held at Holy Name Church, Hanover St., Fall River at 10:00 AM. Burial will take place at Newport Memorial Park, Middletown, RI.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Dana Farber Cancer Institute in honor of Lucky's memory.
