Lucille A. "Lucy" Guimond, RN, BSN, 68, of Brookline, MA, formerly of Swansea, daughter of the late Norman P. and Beatrice Y. (Tremblay) Guimond and sister of the late Paul C. Guimond, died Monday, October 15, 2007.
A graduate of Case High School, Swansea, Truesdale Hospital School of Nursing and Boston University School of Nursing, she was a 25 year employee and member of the Cardiac Surgical Team of Children's Hospital, Boston. For the past 20 years, she traveled to China each year as a member of Project Hope's Pediatric Cardiac Program.
She leaves siblings, Ronald N. Guimond (Carole) of Melbourne, FL, Rita Y. Foley (John) of Somerset, Yvette J. Guimond (Gerry) and Cecile O'Neil (Joseph), all of Swansea and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held Friday at 11:00 AM in the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River. Burial, Notre Dame Cemetery.
Visitation, Thursday 4:00 to 8:00 PM. LARGE PARKING AREA BARRIER-FREE ENTRANCE at the rear of funeral home. Please omit flowers. Donations may be made to Children's Hospital, 300 Longwood Ave., Boston MA 02115.
