Lucille M. (Purcell) Gardner

Lucille M. (Purcell) Gardner, 87, of Swansea, wife of the late George A. Gardner and daughter of the late John Purcell and M. Blanche (Gagnon) Purcell-Karon, passed away Thursday, August 24, 2017.

She leaves five children, Janet Bornstein of Raynham and Christine Pavao and her husband Michael, Marilyn Bernier and her husband David, John Gardner and his soulmate Lillian Casimiro and Susan Gardner and her husband Steven Buckless, all of Swansea; eight grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; a sister, Joan Grier and her husband Don of Allentown, PA; two sisters-in-law, Edel Lynch of East Taunton and Joan Beaudry of Florida and nieces and nephews.

Her funeral will be held Tuesday at 8:45 AM from the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass at St. Francis of Assisi Church, Swansea at 10:00 AM. Interment, Mount Hope Cemetery, Swansea.

Visitation, Monday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Large parking area & barrier-free entrance at the rear of funeral home. Flowers welcomed and donations may be made to Compassionate Care Hospice, 174 Dean St., Taunton MA 02780.
