Lucille E. (Lavoie) Demers passed away on December 16, 2024, at the age of 89. She was the wife of the late Omer J. Demers.
Throughout her life, Lucille was an active participant in her local community, engaging in various activities. She was particularly passionate about bowling, having played for both the St. Jean the Baptiste and St. Anne's teams. Her competitive spirit and commitment brought joy not only to her but also to those who gathered with her on the lanes.
A proud member of the Franco-American Club at St. Jean the Baptiste, Lucille dedicated herself to the betterment of her community through her involvement and leadership. Her contributions were always met with appreciation, and she was regarded as a role model by many.
Lucille is survived by her loving son and caregiver, Omer H. Demers; and her son, Michael R. Demers, as well as her sister, Yvette I. Berube.
Lucille is preceded in death by her parents, Theophane C. and Lucie (Gagnon) Lavoie, and her siblings: Arthur J. Lavoie, George E. J. Lavoie, Wilfrid P. Lavoie, Henri C. Lavoie, Dr. Philippe A. Lavoie, Claire M. Neves, and Brother Robert L. Lavoie, SC.
As we remember Lucille Demers, may we reflect on her love for family, her commitment to community, and her unwavering spirit that inspired those around her. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Visitation will be held Saturday, December 28, from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 S.Main St. Fall River, with a service at 12:00 PM.
The family would like to thank her caregivers Judy, Lisa, Helen, Maria, Kayla, Holly and Susan, for their wonderful care.
