Lucien J. Roy, 82, of Fall River, died Saturday, November 25, 2006 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. He was the devoted husband of Lucille C. (Theriault) Roy. A lifelong resident of Fall River, he was the son of the late Antonio N. Roy and Leontine (Cloutier) Roy-Labonte. A Constable in the Greater Fall River Area since 1970, he owned and operated Lucien J. Roy Associates. He also was employed by Fall River Paper & Supply for 43 years. A parishioner of Holy Name Parish in Fall River, he served as Eucharistic Minister and Lector at the church as well as at Catholic Memorial Home. He was past president of Notre Dame Parish Committee. A lifetime member of the 3rd Degree of the Knights of Columbus, Mr. Roy held several positions with the Knights of Columbus including District Deputy, District Warden for the Massachusetts State Council and Chairman of the Charity Committee. On the local level, he was Grand Knight, Deputy Grand Knight, Financial Secretary, Treasurer and Recorder. He graduated from Thibodeau Business School. An Army veteran of World War II, he served in New Caledonia as a french translator. He was past Commander of American Legion Post #1, Providence, RI and was life member of the Somerset Sportsmen Club. Besides his wife of 60 years, he is survived by 2 sons, Ronald A. "Ron" Roy and his wife Marion of Fall River, Paul R. L. Roy and his wife Charlotte of Medfield, MA; 4 grandchildren, Aaron Roy of Watertown, MA, Ashley Roy of Medfield, Michelle Roy of Somerville, MA and Colby Roy of Medfield; a brother, Reginald C. Roy of Texas, a sister Rhea Levesque-Durette of Westport; and nieces and nephews. Mr. Roy was the brother of the late Marcel Roy. His funeral will be held Friday at 10 AM from AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 S. Main St. Fall River, with a funeral mass in Holy Name Church, Hanover St. at 11 AM. Burial in Notre Dame Cemetery.
