Lucien H. Gendreau

Lucien H. Gendreau, 85, of "Southpointe", Amity St., Fall River, died Thursday, July 29, 2010. A Navy veteran of WW II and self-employed carpenter, he was a member of the Fall River Police Department for 28 years and a member of the Massachusetts Police Assn. as well as the Fall River Police Relief Assn. He was the husband of Alice (Chasse) Gendreau of Fall River; the father of Richard R. Gendreau of Fort Washington, MD and Janine V. Gendreau of Fall River; the son of the late Charles and Albertine (Belanger) Gendreau and the brother of Lucille Jupin of New Bedford, and Leo and Donald Gendreau, both of Fall River, and the late Eugene, Horace, Charles, Robert and Normand Gendreau; the brother-in-law of the late Rev. Camille Chasse, OFM; the cousin of the late Rev. Msgr. Alfred Gendreau; and also leaves many nieces, nephews and cousins. Following cremation, a memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, August 7 at 11:30 AM in St. Anne Church. Visitation and flowers omitted.
