Lucette (Bastien) Pimental

Lucette (Bastien) Pimental, 90, of Tiverton, passed away peacefully, Thursday, June 13, 2024. She was the loving wife of the late James F. Pimental with whom she shared 67 years of marriage.

Born in Bar-Le-Duc, France, the daughter of Paul and Alice (Dieudonne) Bastien, she lived in Tiverton most of her life.

Employed in the garment industry, she was a member of the ILGWU. She enjoyed yard sales, spending time with family and she adored her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and had just recently became a great-great grandmother.

Lucette was the mother of two daughters, Christine Lemelin (husband Bill), Brenda Raposa and a son Jimmy Pimental (wife Wendy). She was the grandmother of seven grandchildren; Bryce Raposa (wife Brittany),Vanessa Mello, Mason Pimental, Rachel Rogers (husband Eric) and Madison Pimental; her grandsons, Craig Raposa and Nathan Tappan predeceased her.

She has six great-grandchildren including Zaria Tappen-Schmidt (husband Jake),  Emma Silva, Maddix and Brynn Raposa, Levi and Keagan Mello; a great-great grandson August Tappen-Schmidt, her sister, Jeannette Pimental along with several nieces and nephews.

She met her husband James in France, after he enlisted in the Army in 1951 and was stationed in Germany during the Korean War. She moved to Tiverton in 1954 with the man she fell in love with and started a family.

Lucette was the light of her family, she constantly put everyone before herself. Her passing leaves a huge void that won’t ever be filled.

Visitation will be held Friday morning, June 21 from 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. with a funeral service at 11:00 A.M. at Auclair Funeral Home, 690 South Main St. Fall River.

Burial, Pocasset Hill Cemetery, Main Rd. Tiverton.
