Louise B. (Chouinard) Michaud, 85, of Fall River, passed away on Wednesday, April 16, 2025. She was the wife of Maurice R. Michaud with whom she shared 47 years of marriage.

Born on August 25, 1939, in Maine, Louise was the daughter of Louis and Jeane (Morneault) Chouinard.

Louise pursued her educational aspirations at Bridgewater State University, where she earned a bachelor's degree and laid the groundwork for an enriching career in education. For many years, she shared her passion for the French language with countless students, inspiring them to appreciate not just the words, but the culture and history they encompassed. She loved watching NCIS and Law and Order episodes. She was also a avid reader.

Her vibrant spirit and commitment to her family were fundamental aspects of Louise's life. Besides her husband Maurice, She is survived by her children: Michele Bailey, James Bailey, Michael Bailey, Philip Michaud (wife Kristine), Claudine Rebello, and Loraine Clark (husband Curtis); her grandchildren: Ella, Cole, Yvette, Sera, Philip, Samantha, Kaitlin, Louis, Cory, Joscelyn, Noah, and Sarah; and her siblings, Henri Chouinard (wife Pierette), Rita Glover (late husband John), Paul Chouinard (wife Louise), and Therese Gaudreau (late husband William) and nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her brother Jean Chouinard, and her former husband James Bailey.

Louise's Visitation will be held Wednesday April 23, 2025, from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., at the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 S. Main St.

Her funeral will be held Thursday April 24, 2025, at 9:00 A.M. from the funeral home, with a Funeral Mass at St. Bernard's Catholic Church, at 10:00 A.M.

Louise will be profoundly missed not only by her immediate family but by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her kindness, intelligence, and dedication to education have left an indelible mark on the lives she touched. As we remember Louise B. Michaud, we honor her life of love, learning, and family, a testament to the impact one individual can have on the world.
