Fall River

Louise A. Ferland, a beacon of faith and kindness, left this world on December 5, 2024, in Huntsville, Alabama. Born on August 14, 1954, in Fall River, Massachusetts, Louise embarked on a remarkable journey through life, defined by her unwavering commitment to service and education.

After a fulfilling career at New England Telephone, Louise pursued her lifelong dream of becoming a teacher. Her passion for education led her to earn a degree and embrace her role as an educator at New Bedford Public Schools, where she inspired countless young minds with her dedication and warmth.

A lady of great faith, Louise embodied the teachings of Jesus Christ, actively living out His words by feeding the hungry, visiting the elderly, and helping those in need. Her generous spirit and selflessness created ripples of positivity in the lives of many. She was deeply involved with her church community at First Baptist Church in Madison, Alabama, where she found joy in caring for toddlers and forming strong friendships.

Louise had a special talent for cooking and baking, delighting her loved ones with delicious French meat pies and other culinary treasures.

She is survived by her beloved family, including her brothers and sisters: Henry Ferland and his wife Theresa, Cecile Aubin, John Ferland, and Rita Lebeau. Louise cherished her role as godmother to Jason P. Lebeau, who was a source of great pride in her life.

Louise was preceded in death by her parents, Albert T. Ferland and Imelda (Levesque) Ferland, and her dear siblings Raymond Ferland, FRFD, Ret., Madeleine Bileau, and Marguerite Ferland, who will forever be lovingly remembered.
