Louis A. "Lou" Faria
April 14, 1923 — February 23, 2017
Louis A. "Lou" Faria, FRPD, Ret., age 93, of Fall River, husband of the late Leonora "Lee" (Moniz) Faria, passed away Thursday, February 23, 2017. An Army veteran of WW II, he was a member of the Fall River Police Department for 31 years, retiring in 1982. He was an avid golfer.
He leaves a son, Paul Faria and his companion Mary Manning of Swansea; grandsons, Derek and Joshua Faria; and nieces and nephews. He was the son of the late Francisco and Silvana (Fernandes) Faria and the brother of the late Irene Rebeiro and George, Manuel, Frank and Mary Faria.
His funeral will be held Monday at 8:00 a.m. from the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass at Santo Christo Church at 9:00 AM. Entombment, Notre Dame Cemetery Mausoleum.
Visitation, Sunday from 3:00 to 7:00 PM. Large parking area & barrier-free entrance at the rear of funeral home.
