Louis Davis, 82, of Mitchell Drive, Fall River, died Sunday, September 3, 2006 at Saint Anne's Hospital. He was the husband of the late Evelyn (Ferreira) Davis. Born in Fall River, the son of the late Frank and Bella (Raczka) Davis, he lived Dartmouth for 18 years and in Fall River most of his life. He was employed by Gitlin Brothers Scrap Metal Processing- Recycling, Fall River and Mid-City Scrap Iron and Salvage, Westport. Survivors include a daughter, Betty L. Davis Desmarais and her companion Bruce Thompson of Fall River; 2 sons, Thomas F. Pereira and his wife Darlene of Ellington, CT and Louis F. Davis and his wife Catherine of Manchester, CT; 2 sisters, Helen Ramut of Fall River and Mary Sirois of East Hartford, CT; a brother, Frank Davis, Jr. of Florida; a grandson, Thomas F. Pereira, Jr.; a great-granddaughter, Destiny Hogan and nieces and nephews. He was the grandfather of the late Robert J. Desmarais, Jr. and Wayne J. Desmarais and the brother of the late Clara "Sophie" Hyson, Mary Pietrzyk Mae (Pietrzyk) Ferreira, Ruth Amaral, Anthony Davis, Frances Davis, Caroline Davis and Delores Davis. His funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11:00 AM in the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River. Burial, Notre Dame Cemetery. Visitation, Tuesday 4:00 to 8:00 PM.
