Louis D. Alexander, Jr.

Louis D.”Big Lou” Alexander, Jr., 61, of Fall River, passed away on Tuesday, July 9, 2024.

He was the companion of Helena M. Silveira.

Born in Fall River, he was the son of the late Shirley (Goss) Mello and the late Louis D. “Louie” Alexander, Sr.

Louis was an avid card player at the VFW on Bedford St. and enjoyed spending Wednesday nights with the boys.

Louis collected sports memorabilia and loved to ride his motorcycle with his lifelong friend Chris Lynn.

Besides his companion of 28 years, survivors include his children, Amanda Major, Felicia Major, Louis D. Alexander III (wife Rebecca), Amanda Bettencourt and the late Charles Bettencourt;

Four grandchildren, Joseph, Emma, Alana and Jeffrey.

Sisters, Tammy Freitas, Jodi Hutchins, Michelle Alexander, Lauren Travis, Debbie Cordeiro;

Brothers, Darryll Hutchins, Justin Travis and Michael Travis; many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews;

And his faithful companion, Ollie.

He was the brother of the late Helen Amaral, Micheal Alexander and Edmund J. Alexander.

A visitation will be held Saturday, July 13, from 12:00PM to 3:00PM, with a Funeral Service at 2:00PM at the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 South Main St., Fall River.
