Lorraine (Mailloux) Souza, 77, formerly of Fall River and Madison Rd., Swansea, wife of Donald J. Souza, died Monday, January 26, 2009.
A former member of the Fall River Power Squadron Auxiliary, she and her husband operated the former Bay Liquors, Fall River.
Besides her husband of 55 years, she leaves 2 daughters, Mary Ann Busse and her husband Andrew of East Providence and Claire Stott and her husband Arthur of Port Charlotte, FL; grandchildren, Melisa Soares, Jessica Mello, Craig Rogers, Heidi Arruda, Crystal and Wesley Stott and Kimberly and Ryan Souza; 9 great-grandchildren: siblings, Henry Mailloux of Texas, Alphonse "Skip" Mailloux of Fall River and Oscar and Armand Mailloux, both of So. Yarmouth, MA and nieces and nephews.
She was the mother of the late John M. Souza and Michael D. Souza; the daughter of the late Alphonse and Florida (Gervais) Mailloux and the sister of the late Jeannette Gregory and Rita Eastman.
Visitation, Saturday from 1:00 to 5:00 PM in the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral service at 3:00 PM. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to American Heart Assn., 20 Speen St., Framingham MA 01701.
