Lorraine C. (Turgeon) Melanson

Lorraine C. (Turgeon) Melanson, 77, of Shawomet Ave., Somerset, wife of Paul L. Melanson, died Saturday, November 16, 2013. A former hairdresser, she also operated a wicker store and shoe store and was employed by Fisher College. She was past-president of the local Ladies Auxiliary USPS Employees. Besides her husband of 55 years, she leaves 5 children, Denise Vezina and her husband Robert of Fort Myers, FL, Michelle Simoneau of Central Falls, RI, Michael Melanson and his wife Mary of Louisville, KY, Raymond Melanson and his wife Donna of Swansea and Danielle Melanson of New Bedford; grandchildren, Sean and Alyssa Winbourne, Katelynn, Nathan and Mitchell Melanson and Stephanie Simoneau; a sister, Anne Marie Caisse of Fall River and nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Diane M. Melanson and the daughter of the late Jean and Irene (Desjardins) Turgeon. Visitation, will be Wednesday from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. Her funeral service will be held Wednesday evening at 7:00 PM in the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River. Cremation to follow.
